General Description: Will is a two year old white male with blonde hair and blue eyes.He is small for his age and he lives with his father and mother.

Where Observation Took Place:The observation took place at will’s house.

When Observation Took Place:The observation took place on October 11th at about 3:30.

Others Present:His father and mother where both present.

1)Physical Development

1.If toddler or preschooler, list examples of child’s movements.Will likes to run around and throw his balls.He can’t sit still for a long time.He has to be constantly moving.

2.Describe the infant’s, toddler’s, or preschooler’s large muscle development.Will is small for his age.But he has very good muscle development.He has very strong hands.When I was playing with him I tried to get a toy out of his hand and I had to really tug to get the toy out.

3.From observing the child, list examples to illustrate small muscle development.Again with Will he has very strong hands.He will keep whatever he wants until he decides to give it to you.

4.If toddler or preschooler, list examples of life skills that have been mastered.Will is still unable to talk but he has mastered many life skills.He understands the concept of sharing.Also when he wants to show you that he loves you he will bend down and touch you with his head.His mom and dad say he is giving love.

11)Intellectual Development

1.Describe the child’s general intellectual development, listing examples to illustrate.Will is getting close to understanding commands.But he is not there yet.He understands when he does something good or bad.But one thing that he does intellectual is when he gives love.It is one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time.He will just hit his head on you and smile.

1.Describe this child’s emotional development, giving examples to illustrate.Will is very emotionally attached to his parents.You have to hang out with him and play for a while until he feels comfortable with you.Like I used to play with him every once in a while, and he would be tentative with me.But I baby sited for him on a weekend and he loves me now.I think that is the reason because he gets used to your face and becomes comfortable.

2.Describe this child’s social development, giving examples to illustrate.Will is a very hyper and social oriented child.He loves being in the center of attention.Also he is very good around other babies.He shares his toys with them to.

General Description:Danny is a 13 year old male approximately 5’3’’ and 115 lbs.He has brown hair and he is in the 7th grade.He also resides with both natural parents.

Where Observation Took Place:The observation took place at his house.He lives right next door.

When Observation Took Place:The observation took place on October the 13th at around

Noon.

Others Present:Just his little brother.

1)Physical Development

1.Describe the physical appearance, noting characteristics of the age as discussed in your text or differing from descriptions in your text.Danny is starting to take on the physical characteristics of the average adolescent.He is starting to develop in the areas of height and muscle growth.Also he is showing signs of facial hair and the deepening of his voice.

2.Describe particular skills.Danny has participated in the Beta club and the Math team.Everything kind of comes easy for Danny.He is very athletic for a thirteen year old.Coordination is not a factor for him.

11)Intellectual Development

1.Describe this person’s interests.Danny enjoys hanging around his buddies.They like to play all the nintendo games.Also at night time he and his buddies enjoy playing kick the can in my neighborhood.

3.Describe this person’s attention span and relate to norms for this age group.Danny’s attention span I would have to say is average.He is a 13 year old what do you expect.He likes to be the center of attention when his friends are around.So some times he will clown around to gain attention in some situations.So I would have to say that his attention span depends on the surroundings.

General Description:Brian is 4 year old Spanish boy.He is 36 inches tall and weighs around 50 lbs.He also has dark hair.

Where Observation Took Place:The observation took place at my mom’s school.

When Observation Took Place:The observation took place on October 20th at around 10 o’clock.

Other Present:My mom and the other children.

1)Physical Development

1.If toddler or preschool, list examples of child’s movements?Brian is very coordinated 4 year old.He shows his child’s movements on the playground.He loves to ride his bike and hang from the monkey bars.

2.Describe the infant’s, toddler’s or preschooler’s large muscle development.Brian’s large muscle development group is average.But his lower half is much bigger then his upper half.

3.From observing the child, list examples that illustrate small muscle development.Brain is able to hold his pencil and write his name.Also his hands are strong because he is able to do the monkey bars.

4.If toddler or preschooler, list examples of life skills that have been mastered.Brian has a tough time with a lot of things because English is his second language, and he is yet to master it.But he has learned how to use the bathroom and dress himself all alone.
