Well, Melanie and I are now proud parents of a bouncing baby boy. After 32 hours of labor Melanie finally gave birth to our son, Jake. Jakob Darryl Hirschler was born on September 11, 1998 at 2:47pm.

Jake weighed in at 7 lbs, 13oz. He was 21" tall. We can't tell, but it looks like he has brown eyes. He has a full head of hair as you can see in the following photographs.

"Awwwww... Innee cute?" In this photo, he is only a few minutes old. By the way, that is his belly button/what's left of the umbilical cord, not his "thing".

Thanks to all who wished us well and to those that gave us baby gifts. We are all very thankful for the love and support we have received from all our friends and family. And thank you God for giving us such a healthy baby and a non-eventful pregnancy.

Melanie, Jake and I are all doing just fine.

Here we are just about to leave the Hospital on the way home with our little bundle. We arrived at the hospital as two, we left as three. It's wierd.
