The best audience boot from the DLB tour

Finally we have achieved perfection from this tour... at least as far as audience tapes go. The packaging is impressive, and it doesn't stop there. As soon as you put this CD in and give it a listen, you will be blown away! I have heard no better bootleg from the "Don't Look Back" tour.

The set list is complete and long. This is the longest set they played the whole tour. It was a rare event (although more common in Japan) that Boston played "Don't Be Afraid", but this show has it. Furthermore, the concert is complete. There is not one dropout.

Usually, one has to get their mind sort of used to the poor sound quality before one can enjoy the concert. This is not the case with this one. The sound quality is just about perfect throughout the whole show! I can't say enough about it. It really has a punch to it! The bass is solid and not distorted. The mids are not muddy. And the high end is crystal clear for a tape of that age. Very little (if any) hiss can be heard. I am convinced this came from a master tape. The burning question is, how did this tape stay hidden for so long?

The artwork is nice. It's very colorful and has a nice look. It has several photos of Boston (most taken from the tour book). The front cover is especially nice, featuring a great quality pic of the Japanese tour book.

My conclusion is that any self-respecing Boston fan should have this boot. If you love the "Don't Look Back" tour, then you need this boot. If you admire old recordings with crystal clear sound quality, then you need this boot. Simply stated, it ROCKS! It's as good as the best parts of Tokyo Day 3. So now my question is, will we see a Tokyo Day 2 in the future?
